What happens to a link you paste

This app fetches that page itself, reads the product details out of it, and sends those details (the product name, brand, id and price, plus the titles and prices of the offers found) to Anthropic's API, which decides what matches. The search queries go to a shopping search engine. Your IP address is not passed to either: the requests come from the machine running this app.

Comparisons are saved and public

Every finished comparison is written to disk on the machine running this app and published at its own address, listed under Comparisons. Anyone with the link to this site can read every comparison that has been run on it. Do not paste a link you would not want another visitor to see.

Images and outbound links

Offer thumbnails are fetched by this app and served from here, so the site they came from never sees you. Links to sellers carry no referral or affiliate code, and the tracking parameters attached by the search engine are stripped before the link reaches the page.

Getting something removed

The comparisons are files on one machine. Ask whoever sent you this link and they can delete any of them outright.
